I am nearing the end of my maternity leave and have consumed a lot of television. Of all the series I have watched in the last three months, Schmigadoon has been the best! Growing up, I enjoyed a steady diet of musicals from the 1950s and 1960s and love a modern take with original music and old choreography inspirations. Schmigadoon captures the pomp and circumstance from the classics I enjoyed in my youth and marries it to contemporary comedy that had me laughing out loud. The episodes were the perfect length while my daughter napped or breastfed and the series has great re-watch potential!
